Job Title: Field Service Engineer, Sustaining
Department: Outside Sales
Reports to: Ramp Manager
Location: Onsite, Chandler, AZ
Job Summary:
Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing and providing technical support for HIS designed and built integrated vacuum solutions. You will work alongside a group of Sustaining Field Service employees to ensure our products are serviced properly and safely. You will also be required to integrate third party equipment and products into our designed solutions for customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Completing daily tasks depending on customer and factory needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance and verify proper operation of customers equipment
- Communication and coordination with other vendors to service customers equipment efficiently and effectively
- Install third party components onto our systems
- Perform visual inspections (quality check) as requested by team leads and engineering
- Complete all required reporting and documentation using customer factory systems
- Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements to perform tasks
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development
- Perform leak test and troubleshoot leaks on customer equipment IAW HIS/Customer procedures
- Collaborate with team members and the Site Lead to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with Customer and Engineering groups to coordinate installation activities, service needs and equipment improvement requests
- Clear and concise communication on customer requests, tasks completed, and changes needed
- Maintain Customer and HIS safety protocols
- Completion of other tasks as assigned by supervisors
- Working in respiratory PPE as needed. Maintaining fit checks, etc.
Job Expectations:
- Always friendly and willing to support the customer with any assistance needed
- Always be available to address any HIS Innovations Group related issues with the Customer
- Documenting and reporting customer concerns to the appropriate HIS Team
- Unpack and inventory shipments, communicate and track all shortages or modifications needed
- Communicate with FS Lead on all assigned tasks, keeping team informed on status
- Provide detailed problem description, including desired operation and variance along with possible solutions to the problem
- Overtime and travel may be required as needed
Skills Integral to the Job:
- Demonstrated ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and work safely while in a fast-paced environment
- Electrical troubleshooting ability with the appropriate tools
- Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions accurately and consistently
- Attention to detail with the ability to efficiently multitask
- Customer service-oriented approach promoting customer loyalty and timely task completion.
- Collaboration skills essential for working with customer and HIS engineering teams
- A reputation for taking initiative, setting goals, and getting things done
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal form
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Engineering Technician Diploma/Certificate or High School Diploma or equivalent required
- AS degree in technical discipline, or relevant military or practical experience preferred
- Experience with the installation of Mechanical systems, Electrical components, reading layout drawings
- Experience with Vacuum pumps, Frames, Cleanroom equipment, Tools, and procedures a plus
- Military or relevant technical work experience will be considered
- One year of Semiconductor experience a plus
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:
- Able to climb, stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds / 34 KG at times
- Able to carry 30 pounds, tools and components
