Job Title: Field Service Supervisor
Department: Field Service Operations
Reports to: North America Service Manager
Location: Onsite, Chandler, AZ
Job Summary:
The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the field service teams in the SW region of the US. Ensuring seamless communication between internal and external stakeholders. Overseeing the installation and technical support processes of HIS equipment and customer equipment. This role serves as the main point of contact for escalations, coordination of resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products to customers. The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in resolving issues, supporting site personnel, and maintaining efficient workflows across various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical aptitude
- Able to understand how things work. Theory of operation and how systems interact with each other. Technical understanding of power distribution, signaling, and basic software implementation.
- Problem solving and addressing non-conformance issues efficiently, minimizing quality escapes to customers, reducing impacts on installation timelines and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Supply Team with the right tools to get the job done
- Coordinating Training based on individuals training needs
- Conduct regular audits and site walks to ensure high quality standards
- Communication
- Primary point of contact for field service escalations, both internally and externally. Facilitate communication between the technical team (engineers) and customer-facing personnel, ensuring timely and effective problem resolution.
- Insuring nonconformance documented properly to increase the overall quality of the customer experience.
- Clearly communicate priorities to teams.
- Escalating additional headcount needs in advance based on installation/ service schedules and milestones
- General management duties
- Timecard approvals, employee reviews, hiring, mentoring, training, and embracing a fun and positive work environment.
- Generating headcount forecasting
Job Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in the electromechanical field, or equivalent experience within a similar field, or applicable military experience.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, mediate, and embrace a positive work culture to ensure great team continuity.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a field service environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical and non-technical information effectively based on audience.
- Attention to detail, writing communications as well as mechanical and electrical assemblies
- Flexibility and open to change, criticism and feedback.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in forecasting, resource allocation, and workforce planning.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to be proficient Excel and windows-based platforms and over all computer skills
- Site based job. Locally in AZ it is expected to work in location based on team needs. Additional travel beyond the local area of Phoenix is less than 25%.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or Engineering Technician Diploma/Certificate
- Experience with the installation of Mechanical systems, Electrical components, reading and understanding engineering prints.
- Previous experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with Intel products and installation processes and schedules.
Work Environment:
This role requires regular interaction with both internal teams, external customers, and occasional site audits. The Field Service Supervisor must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to conduct site walks and audits, which may require standing, walking, and lifting to 50 lbs.
- Occasional travel between local sites employee is based out of. And occasional trips to other sites as projects may be needed. Top of Form Bottom of Form
