Job Summary:

The Senior Buyer for HIS Innovations Group will play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations. They will be responsible for sourcing products and materials; negotiating purchase prices and terms; ensuring all items meet proper technical specifications; and evaluating supplier performance to ensure consistent and timely delivery of supplies and materials essential to our processes from start to finish. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can contribute to our continued growth and success.

Job Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing structures and payment terms, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with production schedules and demand forecasts.
• Maintain accurate data in ERP system for incoming materials and sub-assemblies.
• Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions.
• Analyzes RFQ information, price, and lead time details to select the best vendor Manage inventory levels and monitor supplier performance.
• Prepares, reviews, and issues POs to proper vendors.
• Evaluate procurement data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to procurement and sourcing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Strong understanding of procurement process, BKMs, and inventory management
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience using a purchasing ERP system, preferably Global Shop Solutions
• Populates and presents information to team members based on ERP system dashboards.
• Tracks and monitors status of POs for shipping and actual delivery dates.
• Provides management with monthly vendor performance metrics.
• Works with quality control team and lead the communication with vendors to resolve discrepancies in quality or quantity of materials.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, or CPM) is a plus.
