Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role requires a hands-on individual with a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems as needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize production disruption.
• Collaborate with production teams to coordinate repairs with minimal impact on operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Participate in safety trainings and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and spare parts, placing orders as necessary.
• Assist in identifying and recommending improvements to maintain processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with a solid understanding of industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and inventory control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
