About the US Claims team :
The US Claims team at Hiscox is a growing group of professionals with experience across private practice and in house roles, working together to provide the ultimate product we offer to the market. Sr. Claims Examiners are empowered to manage their claims directly with high levels of authority to provide fair and fast resolution of claims for our insured and broker partners. With strong growth across the US business, the Claims team is focused on delivering profitability while reinforcing Hiscox's strong brand built on a long history of outstanding claims handling.
The role :
Superior claims service is central to our corporate culture and brand. Sr. Claims Examiners are an integral part of our in-house claims servicing team. This is not a "back office" role. Sr. Claims Examiners interact daily and directly with our clients and business partners, so a passion for superior customer service and professionalism are key characteristics of the role.
Sr. Claims Examiners excel at proactive claims management and control of external vendors and third-party administrators. They take a leading role in standard to medium volatility claims and coverage analysis. Requires minimal level of managerial direction and guidance on routine matters falling within authority levels. Able to interact professionally with internal and external business partners and represent claims department.
What you'll be doing as the Sr. Claims Examiner :
- Independently manage a book of Cyber, Tech PL, Media and / or Crime Claims in accordance with Hiscox's Values and the appropriate legal and regulatory framework.
Timely and accurately evaluate coverage and draft position letters
Strategize with insureds and defense counsel to develop and implement best plan to drive favorable resolution

Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in office weekly. Position can be based in the following office locations :
Salary range : $80k-$110k
