The Role
Hiscox is seeking a hands-on Payables Analyst to join the Claims Payables team.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the daily check and wire disbursement process for indemnity and legal claims payments
- Monitor payment requests to ensure completeness and accuracy, making any relevant updates where necessary
- Actively communicate with others in the business units to ensure fluidity of payments and accurate status
- Facilitate manual and monitoring activities for automated and digital claims payments
- Support in the updating of claim payment status within the Claims Management System
- Responsible for assisting and providing relevant data to support general ledger postings
- Responsible for various General Ledger account reconciliations (TPA/Cash Recon)
- Support Senior Claims Analyst in month-end close responsibilities
- Act as a secondary back-up to Accounts Payable function
- Solid accounting knowledge
- Background in payables function
- Strong organizational skills and ability to retain information
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Must be detail and results-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, self-directed
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- BS Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
- 2-4 years in accounting, finance or equivalent business experience
