Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety while lifting or moving them as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Support clients in engaging in community activities and social interactions.
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet each client's specific needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home community care or similar patient care roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques and emergency response procedures is a plus.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare balanced meals for clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or health-related fields are advantageous.
