Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Launder client clothing and linens as needed to maintain a clean environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care as per HIPAA regulations.
- Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior and communicate findings effectively.
- Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Ensure a safe living environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of CPR and basic first aid techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions accurately.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to patient care and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain clear interactions with clients and healthcare teams.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
