What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
We are seeking a Verint Application Development & Maintenance Manager who wants to be part of a high-caliber team supporting our 31 contact centers at Cardinal. In this servant leadership role, you'll be responsible for leading a team of technology experts who support the current on-prem Verint platform, in both the build and run capacities. This role is also heavy in client interactions and client relationship building so, communication and presentation skills are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Develop and cultivate trusted relationships with key clients
- Ensure Run and Build Teams are working at a high level
- Lead projects from conception to execution, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, operations leadership, and other teams to design and implement solutions.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to internal stakeholders on best practices for Verint.
- Demonstrate knowledge of software development techniques, software languages, system integrations, and hardware / software platforms
- Utilize knowledge of the software development life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business / functional documents.
- Plan and execute system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts; problem solves any system issues effectively and timely
