Were seeking a future team member in the role of Metadata Specialist to join our Data Solutions and Services team. This role is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or Lake Mary, FL - HYBRID.
Data Solutions & Services is focused on implementing enterprise data & governance, delivering the firms master data strategy, driving holistic access to data via our Lake, and enabling the business to deliver advanced outcomes for ourselves and our customers using AI / ML techniques.
In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways :
- Ensuring the quality, integrity, and governance of metadata across the organizations data landscape.
- Be a strategic partner in a team responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining metadata standards and practices to support data governance, data lineage, and data management activities.
- Support the creation of a comprehensive metadata management strategy aligned with the organizations data governance and data management objectives.
- Partner with technology and business partners to adhere to metadata standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of metadata across various data domains and systems.
- Direct and provides guidance on the analysis and design of data models and logical databases at the data element level consistent with the corporate architectural models.
- Support the design and implementation of metadata repositories and tools to capture, store, and management metadata effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including data owners, data stewards, and IT teams, to gather metadata requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support data lineage and impact analysis activities by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of metadata documentation and lineage mappings.
