Job Summary
The Senior Systems Administrator II role involves end-to-end responsibility for our server and storage environments, ensuring their design, implementation, and maintenance align with our business-critical objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage the latest technologies to uphold our commitment to high availability and performance.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation : Lead the planning, design, and deployment of server and storage solutions across multiple data centers and offices, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Maintenance and Optimization : Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of server and storage systems to ensure 99.99% availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Security and Compliance : Implement and enforce security protocols and compliance standards to safeguard data integrity and system access.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network, security, and application development, to integrate and support business initiatives.
- Innovation : Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Documentation : Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Travel Requirements
Travel Requirements : Less than 25%-50P-75u-100%
Education Minimum : 4 Year / Bachelors Degree -In Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Certification- Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Server are highly regarded.
Experience
Minimum Years of Experience
5 Years of experience in server and storage engineering, with a proven track record in designing and managing large-scale, high-availability environments.
