Security Officer
Duties:
Patrolling and Monitoring
-In adverse weather conditions, perform routine patrols with subsequent reporting through physical inspection. Promptly respond to incident reports under critical circumstances. Additionally, conduct random inspections both within the premises and along its perimeter. Work environment and conditions may vary by site and can include potential ambulance calls.
-Security Truck Gate
Exercising vigilance during extreme weather conditions, which may entail prolonged periods of standing and walking. Utilize computer proficiency and effective communication skills to interface with drivers, visitors, and contractors.
-Visitor Processing and Access Control
Engage in the processing and harvest function by handling incoming calls, facilitating call transfers, verifying visitor identifications, documenting incident reports, and monitoring visitor check-in and check-out processes. Additionally, perform random inspections, which may require prolonged periods of standing, and efficiently operate a two-way radio communications system.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid security license/certificate
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle conflicts effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent observation and attention to detail skills
- Must be able to pass a background check
