Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement when necessary and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies during incidents or investigations.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for record-keeping purposes.
- Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
- Must possess a valid security guard license or certification where applicable.
