Kenworth is adding another Diesel Technician to our busy location. We have been serving as Ohio's premier Kenworth Class 6, 7, and 8 truck dealership for 60 years. We offer a large selection of new and used road tractors, semi-trucks, day cabs, dump trucks, box trucks, flatbed trucks, expeditors, sleeper trucks, tractor-trailers, and more. We are a one-stop resource for trucks from all points within Ohio. We are seeking a skilled technician who is able to perform diagnostics and repairs in all areas in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair, and who have previously worked as a B Class general service technician.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs work as outlined on a Repair Order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repairs.
- Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or, if requested by the customer.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with Service Advisor if additional work is needed, or if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Reports safety issues to management.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Keeps shop area neat and clean.
- Abides by the company Drug Free Policy.
