What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving position at Hissong Group, Incorporated?
The primary function of the Shipping, Receiving and Stocking Clerk is the day-to-day operations of shipping and receiving and the timely stocking of inventory.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check in and unload all in-coming freight in a timely manner. Verifies incoming shipments and parts using packing slips, invoices, etc.
- Restock and locate parts in proper bin or special-order location on a daily basis.
- Perform PACCAR core returns by the fifth (5th) of every month.
- Pull, tag and ship monthly stock returns and periodic returns of after-market vendors.
- Responsible for the up-keep, organization and return of all vendor cores. This includes running off and filing copies of core packing list for later dirty core returns.
- Responsible for all UPS operations including shipping, receiving and packaging of all out-going shipments.
- Responsible for learning and applying computer tools and skills for enhancing and helping in the daily shipping and receiving operations. Operates dealer order entry terminal.
- Responsible for maintaining purchase orders and attaching to all in-coming packing lists for correct verification and placement of special ordered parts on a daily basis.
- Responsible for maintaining special ordered will-call bins and purging once a month for proper turn-around.
- Responsible for performing weekly cycle counts on randomly selected bin locations.
- Maintain parts related correspondence.
- Follows all accounting and procedural rules as outlined in the Parts Department Polices Book and the Company Employee Handbook.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the Parts Manager.
- Abides by the company Drug Free Policy.
