Housekeeper/Janitorial

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on both commercial and industrial cleaning standards.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning assignments efficiently and effectively.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Qualifications

Minimum Age 21

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures is a plus.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing is desirable.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
