Historic Hudson Valley is seeking Security Guards to join the team that cares for some of the region’s most prominent National Historic Landmarks.
Responsibilities include:
- Patrol grounds and buildings after closing, keeping them safe and secure from intrusion and fire.
- Log/ report on any unusual circumstances such as trespassers, storm damage, and lighting or equipment failures.
- Perform security duties at HHV festivals and special events.
- Physically respond to emergency situations including alarm calls from various HHV sites. This will include physically being able to walk uneven terrain of HHV sites which can include during evening and night hours using appropriate lighting equipment.
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Be certified under NYS Guard Act
- Valid NYS 8-hour training certificate
- Valid NYS 16-hour training certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer proficiency (e.g., e-mail, internet, Word)
