Description: Historic New England seeks a seasonal, part-time Lead Guide to work at Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House, for the 2025 season. The Lead Guide will conduct museum tours, and assist the Site Manager and Program Assistant as needed, handling daily museum operations including tour admissions and online ticketing, museum shop, light cleaning, and opening and closing the museum. The Lead Guide will also assist with group tours, functions, and special programs. Training is provided.
Qualifications: Applicants should have experience with and enjoy working with the public, have an interest in history and art, and have strong computer skills. Experience in giving tours or in customer service is desirable. Must be available Saturdays and some evenings, have a flexible schedule, and commit to employment through the end of the 2025 season, late April through October. The position involves lifting up to forty pounds.
