Job Summary
This position performs a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical, and professional work in analyzing and administering our safety standards of Old Town Trolley Tours of San Diego, the Sea and Land (SEAL) Adventure, and multiple Depot Sales booth locations. This position should increase the safety awareness of the Company by ensuring that our Company's high standards of safety are maintained through continuous staff training. Eligibility requirements may applyRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Investigating accidents, injuries or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures and conduct safety inspections.Being first contact to initiate worker compensation claims and filing claims with Risk Management and insurance company.Reporting and / or reviewing findings from safety inspections, safety evaluations and accident investigations to Operations Manager, General Manager, and National Safety Director. Making recommendations on findings to improve safety.Maintaining an open line of communication and working closely with the National Safety Director on safety and insurance matters and maintaining liaisons with outside organizations such as the fire department, police department and rescue teams.Oversee special projects to ensure that facilities meet environment, health, and security standards and comply with government regulationsDevelop and maintain San Diego transportainment and retraining policies and procedures for all CASTmembers.Conduct training, performance evaluations, and retraining of drivers and tour guides in tour routes, scripts, and staging of tours, ensuring that the company's high tour quality standards are met. Participate and follow company procedures in Ride-Along assessments / evaluations.Conduct driver training and retraining, including, but not limited to, CDL training, behind-the-wheel, and route training.Conduct CAST training and retraining of safety laws and regulations such as, but not limited to, DOT and OSHA, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment for drivers and non-drivers.Certify and recertify conductors and tour guides' ability to perform assigned tours.Ensure CAST is trained in proper attire / costume for their positions, including pins and buttons.Participate as a presenter in the new hire orientation class as needed.Organize and maintain strict confidentiality of information regarding CASTmember and operational records, whether in spoken, written, or computer format.Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent.Two years of college desirable.Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.Will provide training to acquire a Class B or higher CDL with airbrake endorsement (must obtain a CDL in two attempts).Must pass a DOT physical upon employment.Successful candidate must pass a drug test and a background search
