HIT has an opening within their Independent Living program for a Residential Manager. The Manager of Independent Living is responsible for ensuring that the program and service needs of people are met, and that the program runs smoothly and consistently through the supervision of Direct Support Staff. The Manager must be able to work independently, fill in for staff, and work closely with Program Coordinators to ensure that all deadlines and obligations are met in a timely and professional manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervise Direct Support Professionals and Assistant Managers. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of sites. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess the skill and ability to develop cooperative, coordinated working relationships with others.
- Must have decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
- High School diploma or General Education Development diploma (GED) preferred.
- Prefer two years of experience in disabilities and preference is given to those with additional experience and/or a four-year degree in a related human services field. Must become DD certified within 18 months (about 1 and a half years) of hire. This position has a six-month introductory period.
Salary : $22 - $25
