HIT is looking for a Registered Nurse to work closely with the people that are supported as well as the staff the provide direct care. This position is considered consultative for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID). The nurse assures that the healthcare needs of people supported are met. The nurse will document in accordance with agency policies, provide health assessments of people supported and provide training to agency employees.
This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare support and oversight for individuals in supported living environments. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, reviewing medical documentation (e.g., THERAP logs, MARs), ensuring compliance with agency and state healthcare policies, and maintaining confidentiality. The nurse will communicate effectively with healthcare providers, conduct staff training, facilitate medication administration instruction, and monitor medication management practices. Additional duties include serving as a liaison among medical professionals, staff, and guardians, participating in on-call rotations (including weekends and holidays), and supporting ICF/IID services as needed. Adherence to regulatory guidelines and timely completion of required training are essential.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B.S.) from a four-year university or college.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Registered Nurse license from the ND Board of Nursing and DD Certification within 12 months of hire.
