Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems in various settings. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience with audio-visual equipment, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform field service tasks to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations and repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper setup and functionality of AV systems.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to assist in the assembly and disassembly of AV equipment.
- Telecommunicate with clients to provide support and guidance on AV system usage.
- Use voltmeters and other diagnostic tools for testing electrical components.
- Conduct software troubleshooting to resolve issues related to AV applications.
- Manage cabling for audio, video, and data connections to ensure a clean and organized setup.
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving electrical systems and instrumentation (E & I).
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of field service practices related to audio-visual technology.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical documentation.
- Solid mechanical knowledge applicable to AV equipment installation and maintenance.
- Experience with telecommunication systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
- Knowledge of cabling standards for audio, video, and data is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
