The laboratory focuses on research, technology innovation, proof-of-concept activities, technical marketing and business development for novel energy solutions, leveraging Hitachi's technologies, reinforcing Hitachi's messaging around IoT technologies, and establishing Hitachi as a leader in big data.

Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. The role will be a remote work.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:

• PhD with 1-3 years of experiences in power system, power electronics, edge device, cyber security, communication and hardware implementations.

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related degree

  • Previous research related to communication and data protocols such as modbus, DNP3, RS485, CAN, MQTT, Kafka, IEEE 61850, WIFI, Cellular, WAN/LAN, AWS, cloud-edge communication, etc

  • Expert knowledge of distribution power flow analytics, nature of electrical loads is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Python is a must.

  • Familiar with popular database software, i.e. Postgres etc. is preferred.

Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area.
