Description
Plans and manages activities of a designated project(s) to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame and within funding parameters by performing any combination of all essential duties and responsibilities as related to product launch activities. The launch program manager will be the "conductor" of new launch and current production manufacturing plant activities related to the product. They will be responsible for change management by ensuring that appropriate approvals, review, validation, and company best practices for quality and documentation are followed. The launch program manager will lead the pre-build planning meeting with the Cross Function Team (CFT) to ensure that each build is properly supported across all departments to accomplish the stated goal for product shipment, data collection, and process development. They will have responsibility for reporting production site status in local and global cross functional meetings and will support customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage plant activity timelines to meet customer deliverables
Program timing
Align with PM and maintain schedule of plant activities
The launch program manager will lead the pre-build planning meeting with the CFT to ensure that each build is properly supported across all departments to accomplish the stated goal for product shipment, data collection, and process development.
Lead WO internal meeting
The launch program manager will lead the change management meeting with the CFT to ensure that each change has an implementation schedule and is approved through the customer process.
Lead for schedule creation and implementation of SREA changes in plant.
The launch program manager will systematically follow up on open action items and assist in driving closure of issues to support the launch schedule.
Phase Gate requirements and milestones
Align with PM overall gate schedule and lead plant preparation
CFT / GCFT meeting : Support
The launch program manager will systematically follow up on open action items related to the plant and assist in driving closure of issues to support the launch schedule.
Daily KPI meeting : Support
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management or related area preferred.
Experience : : 5 years prior related experience preferred.
