ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products/ process including training team members and evaluating production results (KPIs).
- Develops process documentation and operator work instructions (OWIs) to facilitate operator training on equipment operation, part processes and part quality inspection.
- Manages the production training process to improve skill level of new and current Operators, Line Assistants, Group Leaders, and Supervisors.
- Manages the daily production scrap review process for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency activities.
- Utilizes production and machine data for driving scrap reduction and process efficiency improvement projects.
- Participates in Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement in processes, products, components, raw materials, and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, machining, assembly, and production equipment.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some Access experience preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Combination of office and plant environment. May be required to use safety glasses and wear steel toe shoes while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas.
