Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Supply Chain Specialist to lead efforts in Inventory Management and Warehouse Operations. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data mining, analytics, and leveraging data to drive insights and process improvements. This role requires an individual who can distill complex supply chain data into clear, actionable recommendations, and present findings to executive leadership in an impactful manner. This position will have a direct impact on inventory optimization, warehouse efficiency, and global supply chain performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: Includes the following:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee and optimize global inventory levels to align with demand forecasts and business needs.
- Implement inventory control strategies to minimize stockouts and reduce excess inventory.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to recommend adjustments in processes or systems to improve inventory turnover and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Sales, Operations) to ensure smooth and efficient inventory movement and management.
Warehouse Operations:
- Support and optimize warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehousing (e.g., order fulfillment, lead times, space utilization) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs in warehouse facilities.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct advanced data mining and analytics to assess supply chain performance, identify trends, and forecast inventory needs.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership, providing insights into
- inventory health, warehouse efficiency, and other key supply chain metrics.
- Utilize statistical methods and forecasting models to predict inventory requirements and optimize the flow of goods.
Strategic Decision Support:
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership for decision-making related to inventory management, warehouse strategies, and global supply chain optimization.
- Lead the development of executive-level presentations, ensuring complex data is communicated clearly and effectively.
- Work closely with IT and data teams to integrate advanced analytics tools and technologies into supply chain operations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Champion best practices in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies that can improve supply chain performance.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements to drive operational efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of global warehouse operations, transportation, and distribution.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analytics tools.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in a warehouse environment.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed (10-15%).

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, with a focus on inventory management and warehouse operations, Business Administration, or related fields. Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP, Six Sigma) preferred.
Experience: 5-8 years of experience in warehouse management or global supply chain operations, with a focus on managing multi-location or international warehouse facilities.

Working conditions:
Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Travel: Some domestic and international travel may be required up to 25%. Must have a valid driver's license.
