Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to lead quality control activities including, but not limited to, day-to-day operation, new model, corrective action, quality improvements and IATF compliance for multiple production departments. The QC technician will collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, recommend improvements, and assist in maintaining a consistent level of product quality.
Position Duties and Responsibilities / % Time Spent
Oversee and control day to day operations within the manufacturing facility including tracking reject trends and changepoints: 50%
- Oversee direct QC technical associate’s daily duties and projects: 15%
- Support New Model development and testing including IPPAAR data packages: 5%
- Provide necessary support for any customer related concerns: 5%
- Develop process improvements to reduce quality associated defects: 10%
- Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment within coverage area: 10%
- Coordinate and recommend cost savings and efficiency ideas for the departments: 5%
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- 2-years’ experience
- Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
- Technical abilities, leadership skills, high degree of communication, motivated for personal and professional growth
- Ability to lead project teams
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- 2-year associate’s degree and/or 5 years’ experience
Skills and Abilities:

- Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
- Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Astemo companies

- Provides strong leadership to subordinate personnel
- Interacts with associates at all levels.
- Improves manufacturing proficiency to meet plant goals and objectives
- Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment
- Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Software:
- Basic experience required in Windows and MS Office
- Intermediate experience required in Excel

- Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
- Ability to lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds
- Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
