Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to ensure accurate and timely releasing of material requirements to suppliers to meet production schedules and maintain close communication with Japanese colleges within the global organization.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain raw material inventory to achieve objectives
- Work with Japan on specific parts/purchasing requests for the plant
- Placement of orders within lead time by using customer forecast
- Tracking of part shortages
- Supplier negotiation for on-time delivery of materials
- New product material ordering
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual English & Japanese
- Experience with spreadsheets
- Knowledge of MRP systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-year College Degree in Business, Purchasing, or Related Field
- Experience with MRP systems
