About This Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Hitachi Astemo as a Quality System Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and communicating customer-specific requirements to the organization. You will also serve as the main customer contact for pass-through product responsible for APQP / PPAP, quality issue resolution / reporting, and warranty analysis / reporting.
- Maintain site internal 8D / A3 problem-solving activities, including proper tracking, completion, review, and reporting to management.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to problem-solve, develop, improve, report out, and maintain site quality systems.
- Support 3rd party certification audits and customer Quality System audits (LPA, IATF16949, etc…).
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years' experience.
- Strong background with Quality Management Systems, specifically IATF 16949.
- Understanding of industry core tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA).
- Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision Systems, and other measuring equipment.
