Job Responsibilities :

  • Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats, and in person, adapting communication style to suit customers by problem-solving and resolving conflict.
  • Use all systems to manage customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience.
  • Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, and meeting the emotional and practical needs of customers, including operational checklist tasks.
  • Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers simultaneously and contribute to the store's achievement of five-star customer service.
  • Proactively address customer concerns and know when to escalate issues to the leadership team.
  • Communicate the importance of alterations in perfecting dresses for events and promote alteration services and personalization options.
  • Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting with customers regarding gown fit and customization.
  • Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience.
  • Uphold a high standard of dress that complies with the Dress Code Policy.
  • Greet and escort all alterations customers to and from appointments.
  • Maintain quality control by inspecting all garments altered / steamed / pressed to ensure pristine condition before final delivery.
  • Respond promptly to customer questions by providing product and service information.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers to meet and exceed satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage inventory by processing special orders and ensuring quality standards for all merchandise.
  • Ensure alteration pricing meets company standards.
  • Manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments to company standards.
  • Resolve customer service issues swiftly and effectively in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Support cash wrap processes and accurately process transactions to celebrate every customer.
  • Maintain the alterations room to ensure it is clean and well-organized.
  • Perform duties as assigned by store management.

Physical Demands :

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach for tools and objects; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; bend, twist, and stand; move throughout the store; and communicate with customers.
  • Manual dexterity for non-selling responsibilities, such as using POS terminals, counting money, steaming garments, and using computers and phones.
  • Ability to lift / move up to 10 pounds and maintain visual acuity for close and distant tasks.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
  • Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and / or special occasion production.
  • Prior experience with computerized POS systems is a plus.
