Basic Function: Conduct the Design of Distribution Transformers. Mechanical Design encompasses a variety of design and drafting assignments such as designing and modifying distribution transformer product drawings and BOM’s as well as the manufacturing information.
Typical duties/responsibilities for engineering may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
Design Distribution Transformers per customer and applicable industry standards, using 2D and 3D CAD software, designing of transformers typically includes but is not limited to: Conceptual design, BOM generation and Drawing package generation
Support in responding to customer inquiries
Support in technical issues and continuous improvement of manufacturing process
Support in root cause analysis & corrective actions activities.
Participate in customer specification reviews and design reviews to ensure proposed design meets the industry standards, customer specifications.
Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate
Provide support to internal customers with relevant design information.
Qualifications:
Drafting Degree or equivalent
2 years of experience
