What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Engineering Intern position at Hitachi Energy?
General Information:
As a Production Engineering Intern, you will be supporting the Production Engineers to drive Continuous Improvement using Lean Manufacturing tools.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support Production Engineers with projects and tasks.
- Team member of Kaizen events (5s, Waste Reduction, Standard work).
- Waste Observations.
- Data Entry.
- Create and modify manufacturing procedures.
- Improve Health, Safety, and Environmental performance by completing Activity-Based Risk Assessments.
- Live Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background:
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Preference in CAD.
- Communicating Skills.
- Motivated.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university engineering program in the US.
