What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Engineer position at Hitachi Rail?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Incoming Quality Inspector to join our team at Hitachi Rail. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting Commercial off the Shelf items, electronic assemblies, castings & machined components to ensure compliance with Hitachi drawings and technical specifications.
Key responsibilities will include creating Quality Notifications (QN), quarantining non-conforming product, and distributing QN via email to the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for resolution.
You will also conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), record findings on associated forms, and make entries on the FAI SharePoint site. Furthermore, you will record inspection results in SAP and assist in gathering department assets for weekly calibration.
