Hitachi Energy is seeking a Training and Development Specialist for its Alamo, TN location. In alignment with the North America Hub's vision and growth strategy, this role is responsible for facilitating various training to include structured on-the-job train-the-trainer, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, lean manufacturing concepts, and various orientation / onboarding topics. Training materials will be provided by vendors or created within the company. This role will have input into the course development and may even assist the Training & Development team in the creation of training content. The Training Specialist role reports to the Training & Development Leader at the site location.
How you'll make an impact :
- Facilitate and lead training, including leadership skills, interpersonal skills, lean management, orientation / onboarding, and other non-technical training topics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Training & Development, Process Engineering, and Continuous Improvement Leaders, in creating training materials and facilitating associated training.
- Train / qualify Structured On-the-Job Trainers, including coaching Structured On-The-Job Training (SOJT).
- Maintain training records within a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Learn the Lean Management system (ITM System) to support training and coaching others to build capabilities on the lean manufacturing tools and methods.
- Research effective teaching methods and apply them to continuously improve facilitation skills.
