Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Vice President High Voltage Controller - Americas for it's Mt Pleasant, PA location.
Your Responsibilities:
- VP Controller is a senior executive who manages a company's financial health and accounting activities for PGHV Hub NAM SAM:
- Accounting: Oversees accounting activities, including the financial close process, and ensures that ledgers are accurate
- Financial reporting: Produces financial statements and reports to guide decision-making
- Budgeting: Assists with or creates the budget, including incorporating historical data
- Compliance: Ensures compliance with local law, tax provisions, and relevant industry and financial regulations
- Record-keeping: Maintains and analyzes financial statements, payroll, and budgets
- Internal controls: Creates internal policies and spend controls to prevent fraud
- Financial strategy: Develops financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting
- Cost savings: Identifies efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions
- Leadership: Mentors and manages the accounting and financial staff
- Financial controllers typically have a degree in accounting or finance and may have certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Chartered Accountant (CA). They should have an excellent grasp of arithmetic and basic algebra and be able to explain complex financial information to those without accounting backgrounds.

Your Background:
- Candidate should have no less than 12 to 15 years of progressive financial experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in finance or similarly related filed with an advanced degree preferred.
