What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Door Host 21+ position at Hive 435 Tap House?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or rooms
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
- Take and relay accurate food and beverage orders to the kitchen staff
- Ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns or requests
- Manage waitlist and seating arrangements during peak hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and other staff to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent guest relations
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
