The Counter Person is expected to maintain a professional appearance in line with Hive Bakery & Cafe standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Interaction:
- Provide courteous and professional service as per the training manual.
- Ensure accurate input of orders into the POS system and assist guests with inquiries.
- Take and enter beverage and food orders accurately.
- Efficiently pack and package food items, adhering to the company’s standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures for transaction processing and food packaging.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area.
- Execute opening and closing duties as per the established guidelines.
- Assist cashier and other counter employees during peak hours.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including managing discounts and comps.
- Respond promptly to spills and ensure a safe environment for guests and team members.
- Stay informed about menu offerings, special events, and any special orders.
- Follow all sanitation and safety standards.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements:
What You Background Should Look Like
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Skills:
- Professional communication and social skills.
- Strong written and spoken English communication, with basic math and computer skills.
- Capable of lifting and carrying trays of food and beverages safely.
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
- Understanding of basic food safety and handling procedures.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
