Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechnatronics Technician to join our team at Hiwin Corporation.
About the Role:
- Assemble and test precision motion systems with general supervision from the engineering team.
- Focus on quality and efficiency to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions.
- Use measuring instruments, granite surface tools, and test indicators to ensure product conformity to customer specifications.
- Connect Hiwin electronics (servo drives and controls) to motion stages and run test programs to verify conformance.
- Create, test, and label extension cables according to job details and wiring schematics.
- Complete forms, prepare data sheets, and test reports.
- Operate designated machines and special test equipment, performing routine maintenance and evaluating test performance.
- Receive instructions from engineers and report data to manufacturing personnel.
- Maintain efficient use of space and proper housekeeping in the work cell area.
- Understand and prioritize occupational safety requirements and ensure proper tool usage. <>
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings and schematics.
- Competency in using the metric system down to micron level.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain Hiwin forklift certification and maintain good status.
- Ability to use power tools safely.
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in large customer projects.
- Good manual dexterity and agility.
- Ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in precision assembly, testing equipment, soldering, cable assembly, and basic electronic test equipment preferred.
- Previous internship or apprenticeship in a related position preferred.
- Certifications in Automation, Robotics, and Mechatronics field a plus.
