Piping Designer
OPPORTUNITY
For a detail-oriented design professional to establish and develop their expertise by providing support in the process design of large industrial and commercial facilities. Join an integrated team of architects, process engineers and project managers and engage in challenging projects up to $500 million for many of the biggest brands in the industry. This key role will develop a broad set of engineering drafting and design competencies, consultation, and problem-solving skills in an environment that values collaboration.
POSITION
Reports directly to the Manager of Process Layout. Assists in the development of a project from preliminary design through construction documents with the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial design projects:
- Apply knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) and computer aided design (CAD) to execute assigned modeling/drafting tasks for team members & clients
- Create and manage Plant 3D project setups, specifications, catalogs, and templates
- Assist in the continuous improvement of Plant 3D workflows, standards, and libraries
- Manage department standards for piping specifications, P&IDs, 3D content, isometric/orthographic symbols & standards
- Work proactively across multi-discipline design teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- A.S. in ME, ChE, AE, CETAO, or related engineering field
- 5-10 years of experience required
- AutoCAD Plant 3D proficiency required; Revit experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with sharp attention to excellent quality of design
- Proven self-starter with the ability to manage time and work priorities independently
