SUMMARY
Russell is currently seeking a MEP Project Engineer in our Leesburg, VA office The individual in this position will perform the duties under the supervision of the Project Manager, provides technical support to project staff, reviews plans and other technical documents, answers questions regarding the scope and / or timing of the project, and monitors costs and project progress.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates work of various contracts as assigned, tracks documentation and evaluates contract issues such as pay applications, changes, punch-lists and closeout activities.
- Supports in coordinating and managing the efforts of the contractors / consultants.
- Assists in the evaluation of progress and quality of contract activities in conformance with approved schedules and budgets.
- Reviews progress payments.
- Reviews bid package documents as issued by design consultants for omissions, clarifications required, and for coordination between design disciplines.
- Assists Project Managers and team members.
- Expedites resolution of Project problems.
- Obtains Daily Reports from Inspectors / Contractors.
- Maintains change management control logs, submittals and RFI logs.
- Prepares documents, letters, and report meeting minutes as required by Project Manager.
- Participates in negotiations, preparation of and review all Change Orders.
- Monitors project close out and client occupancy.
- Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourages others to comply with safety rules and regulations, including wearing of personal protective devices.
