HJ Staffing is seeking a Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist to join a fast-growing laboratory product distribution company in Houston, TX! This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a background in Biology, Chemistry, or a related Science discipline who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Customer Engagement & Support
- Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and online chat from potential and existing customers.
- Assist customers with orders, product inquiries, complaints, and general support.
- Maintain high customer service standards and ensure confidentiality.
✅ Sales & Lead Management
- Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly lead generation and sales goals.
- Enter and manage leads in HubSpot CRM, ensuring accurate follow-up.
- Make outbound calls to potential customers to nurture leads, provide quotes, and secure orders.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create and review quotes that meet buying requirements and company margin expectations.
✅ Order Processing & Vendor Coordination
- Process customer orders and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Liaise with vendors to confirm stock availability, lead times, and shipping details.
- Provide customers with real-time tracking and order updates.
✅ Reporting & Documentation
- Keep detailed records of customer interactions, contacts, and sales activities in HubSpot CRM.
- Conduct cost-benefit and needs analyses to align customer needs with company offerings.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports to management.
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
🔹 2 years of experience in eCommerce, call center, customer service, or technical support (preferred).
🔹 Prior research experience in Genomics, Cell Biology, Proteomics, or Analytical Chemistry is a plus.
🔹 Strong verbal and written communication skills.
🔹 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software (HubSpot preferred).
🔹 Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
🔹 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
