Our Commercial Real Estate Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, creating financial models, and providing insights to support decision-making related to commercial real estate investments. This role requires a strong understanding of finance, real estate market dynamics, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of commercial real estate properties, including income statements, cash flow projections, and return on investment calculations.
- Evaluate the financial feasibility of potential real estate investments by considering factors such as acquisition costs, operating expenses, and revenue projections.
Market Research:
- Stay informed about current market trends and conditions affecting commercial real estate.
- Analyze market data to identify opportunities and assess potential risks associated with specific regions or property types.
Financial Modelling:
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to project investment returns and assess the financial impact of various scenarios.
- Perform sensitivity analyses to understand how changes in key variables may affect investment outcomes.
Due Diligence:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential real estate acquisitions, including reviewing property documents, lease agreements, and financial statements.
- Collaborate with legal and other relevant teams to ensure compliance with regulations and contractual obligations.
Risk Assessment:
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with real estate investments, such as market volatility, economic downturns, and property-specific challenges.
- Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including transactions, legal, marketing and asset management teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years experience in financial/investment analysis; commercial real estate experience preferred.
- Has strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Is a self-starter, highly focused and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Has a strong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit, is creative and able to think outside the box.
