Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Framer to join our team. The Framer will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs, using various materials such as wood and steel. The ideal candidate will have experience in framing, knowledge of building codes, and the ability to read blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, or other framing materials according to specifications.
- Construct walls, floors, roofs, and other structural elements of buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans.
- Install doors, windows, and other framing components.
- Ensure all framing work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other construction team members, including carpenters, roofers, and general laborers.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite, following OSHA and company safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a construction framer or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of framing techniques and construction methods.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, such as saws, hammers, and drills.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor and indoor construction sites.
- Physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction hazards.
