Position Summary : The Quality Engineer is a critical role within our Quality Assurance team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance across all stages of manufacturing. This position will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, manage quality control systems, and ensure that all products meet internal specifications and regulatory standards. As a Quality Engineer, you will help drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that HK Kolmar USA delivers superior products to our customers.
Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes? To excel as a Quality Engineer, you should have :
Experience in a quality assurance or quality engineering role, preferably within the manufacturing or cosmetics industry.Strong knowledge of quality engineering principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., root cause analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA).Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO, FDA regulations).Ability to apply statistical analysis methods and tools to monitor, evaluate, and improve product quality.Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in using quality management software, measurement tools, and data analysis tools.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities :
Maintain the biennial SOP program, including collaborating with all departments to ensure timely updates and obtaining necessary approvals.Review change control requests, assign workflows, and track progress to ensure completion.Coordinate and oversee internal audits, write audit reports, and track corrective actions until resolution.Work with calibration vendors to schedule calibrations and maintain accurate tracking of all calibration activities.Review deviations, track trends, and support investigations into root causes and corrective actions.Assist with customer complaints, CAPA investigations, and follow-up as needed.Review and enter product specifications for raw materials, components, and finished goods into the Deacom system.Conduct detailed inspections on customer samples, finished products, and other materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.Identify and document non-conformances, defects, and quality issues in finished products.Assist in the development and refinement of quality control procedures and protocols.Maintain reliable attendance and be prepared to work overtime and Saturdays when required.Perform other quality-related duties as directed by the supervisor or management.Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Engineering) is a plus.Experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably in a regulated environment such as cosmetics or personal care.Proficiency with quality management software, measurement instruments, and testing equipment.Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality control software is a plus.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform manual tasks as needed.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.Benefits :
