Job Description
Technical Sales Representatives combine their technical expertise with sales acumen to drive revenue growth by assisting customers with both product purchases and the technical application of our offerings. Work closely with clients to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide tailored solutions that leverage our products effectively. This role involves both sales activities and hands-on-technical support, ensuring that customers achieve optimal results with our products.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of proven experience in technical sales
- Proven technical experience in the composites industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to customers needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and internal partners.
- Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to resolving technical issues
Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Serve as technical point of contact for plant and floor personnel, ensuring seamless communication and support. Support and nurture existing accounts by identifying new business opportunities and promptly resolving any technical issues. Act as the first responder for application or quality concerns, ensuring prompt resolution to maintain and strengthen customer relationships.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team during product trials, offering technical expertise and ensure thorough follow-up to drive successful outcomes. Work closely with sales representatives to develop and offer tailored solutions for new customers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact with customers to understand their needs and deliver ongoing support. Manage and resolve complaints quickly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise: Deepen knowledge of our product portfolio and how it uniquely applies to customer operations. Work with R&D to develop customized solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
- Account Growth & Retention: Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and contribute strategies for maximizing revenue. Collaborate with sales representatives by providing insights to retain customers.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the sales representatives for product trials, providing technical solutions, and support. Work closely with sales representatives, management, and marketing teams. Share market insights and customer feedback to help refine our strategies and offerings.
