Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, preventing loss, and responding to incidents. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to maintain a secure environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, following established protocols for conflict management.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for management review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies as required.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
Skills
- Strong understanding of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Experience in law enforcement or military background is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential risks or hazards.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
