Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and tenacious Personal Injury Lawyer to join our legal team. Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on personal injury claims including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, workplace injuries, and more.
• Assist with investigations, evidence collection, and evaluate merits of potential cases.
• Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and build a strong case.
• Aggressively pursue effective legal strategies, put together litigation plans, prepare legal documents, including complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Prepare cases for litigation in court, finalizing arguments, examining witnesses, and advocating for clients' best interests during trial proceedings.
• Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as paralegals and support staff, to ensure smooth case management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, documentation, and billing information.
• Stay informed of changes in personal injury laws and legal developments to enhance your legal expertise.
• Uphold high ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• 0.5 years of personal injury and litigation strongly preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
• Tenacity, resilience, and a strong work ethic to handle complex and challenging cases.
• Familiarity and knowledge of the state court system is a plus.
