What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at HKM Direct Market Communications?
Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Receive orders from fulfilment system and assign warehouse staff to complete the work.
· Monitor department activities to insure orders are filled in a timely fashion.
· All orders are manifested in a timely fashion.
· Manifest is closed at the end of the day and reports are printed.
· Foreign shipments are processed, paperwork is filled out and carrier is called.
· Materials received each day are processed in a timely fashion.
· Daily deliveries as well as any special deliveries are made.
· Inspect fire extinguishers monthly and arrange for yearly inspection by professional supplier of such services.
· Charge tow lift, picker and hand truck on a regular basis. Perform annual review of warehouse personnel. Submit purchase orders for necessary supplies to Manager for approval.
· Call delivery service when clients require this.
· Directly supervises 7 to 10 employees in the Distribution Services warehouse.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
