Job Title: Human Resources Generalist III
Department: Human Resources

Location: Auburn, MI
Job Summary: As a HR Generalist supporting R&D Technical Center, you will be responsible for a broad range of activities to ensure that the needs of the business unit is aligned appropriately with the overall company goals, while serving as a resource, advisor and coach to all levels of Team Members. The main function of the role is to consult and advise management on several key areas in human resources including Team Member relations, compensation, performance management and employee and management training.
Key responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Employee Relations: assist in managing Team Member relations by investigating, resolving, and communicating Team Member questions, issues, or concerns
- Benefits: may assist with administration of Team Member benefits and maintain the timekeeping system
- Compliance: minimize legal and compliance risk, and participate in audits
- Team Member Engagement: coordinate and activate Team Member engagement, communication plans, and Team Member activities
- Onboarding: coordinate, schedule and conduct new hire orientations for newly hired Team Members; collect new hire paperwork, E-verify, complete I9s, maintain records as needed
- Performance Management: attendance tracking, KPI tracking, corrective action administration
- Analytics: responsible for maintaining data accuracy within HR systems and compiling data analytics on a monthly cadence
- Recruiting: participate in ongoing hiring strategies and efforts to elevate the team and organizational effectiveness
- Training: assist in developing and administering appropriate HR training opportunities for Team Members to further their development
- Immigration: general understanding of the different types of visas, employment eligibility verification, recruitment and compliance requirements
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. May consider equivalent years of professional experience in the HR Function.
- Minimum 7 years of previous or related experience in the HR function.
- Must have broad, basic understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and practices
- Proficient in various HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions: This position typically operates in an office environment. Occasional travel may be required for recruitment events or training sessions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, and bending as needed to perform duties.
Remote Work: Not Eligible for Hybrid Remote Work Schedule
