What are the responsibilities and job description for the Incoming Quality Engineer position at HL Mando America Corp?
Job Purpose:
Replacement of Incoming Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving sustainable excellence in both supplier quality and production quality cycle. This is accomplished by providing technical actions within the quality discipline under quality manager leading, and maintaining intense customer focus. In Addition, this position will be responsible for follow up and corrective action for incoming quality issues and its responsibility will extend to supplier quality issues including communication with suppliers.
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Conduct test and analysis by CMM
- Documentation of test report
- Read required test spec and procedure and know/follow the requirement
- Prepare, read and check the required specification from a part drawing
- Documentation/label/storage of gages
- Reporting and reacting to test and analysis results
- Identification, storage, organization and disposal of test gages
- Maintenance of lab supplies and equipment regularly and in urgent need
- Data entry, storage, archiving and maintenance of programs for lab equipment.
- Strong willingness to continuous improvement in knowledge/skill /work environment
- Train new employees in Metrology Lab Part & Receiving Inspection part for the test related equipment use/procedure
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience preferably in an automotive environment
- Working knowledge and experience using CMM, height gage, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks, computerized gages, and torque gauges
- ISO/TS 16949 and IATF 16949 requirements
- Must know basic quality terms, definitions and concepts
- Assemble and Machining Quality Experience
Technical Competencies:
- Must have basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, E-mail)
- Quality Core Tools – PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, APQP, MSA.
Non-Technical Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively for problem solution.
- Must be a self-directed, results driven individual with the ability to effectively drive issues/problems to closure.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Responsibility for supervision of QC technicians
